Mentoring
The mentoring partnership is an agreement between two people sharing experiences and expertise to help with personal and professional growth.
To use a mentor, you should be:
• Willing to learn
• Able to accept feedback
• Willing to stretch - to try new things and take risks
• Able to identify goals
Mentoring can either be a formal, systematic, long-term relationship between a protégé and a mentor, or it can be an informal, temporary relationship which links the protégé with a mentor in a specific area of expertise for a specific project.
Remember: "Give a man a fish, and the man will eat for a day.
Teach that man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime." (Confucius)
