About Thom Poole
Thom Poole has written a number of books, covering business, history/general interest and fiction titles.
Professionally, Thom is a senior marketing leader, having worked for such companies as O2, Black & Decker, etc., and clients such as Microsoft, Google, eBay, and General Motors. He is also a visiting Professor of Marketing at Grenoble. Many of his business books have been written following requests from students.
He grew up in Amersham in Buckinghamshire and published two books on this town in recent years.
In addition to these books, Thom also ventured into story-telling, writing a number of novels. As a marketer, he maintains that story-telling is a core attribute to his profession. The first novel, Village of Spectres started as a holiday project - rather than taking books on vacation, Thom decided to take a notebook. After this, and thanks to many years travelling for work, Thom has found time to write other novels. There are also two works in progress - a children's book awaiting an illustrator and a new historical novel.
Thom has recently changed publisher, so watch this space for news of book signings and events, and new potential titles coming up. Click here for more information.
